I have been working on creating a Google Earth map that has all the Florida WMAs and State Forests on it. I started with the "Bounds"book for Florida that has all the property managers, property lines, phone contacts, and lots of info. I had to add a few areas that were not in the file and built them to the best of my ability.
This is available to anyone at no cost. It has every public hunting area on the FWC site.
The file is 99% accurate. I do not guarantee it and that is one reason it is free.

I didn't even know people could make GE maps. Is it only possible through this GEHacks site? Seems like Google should open that up for people to play with.
ReplyDeleteYou can build these using GE basic. You add a polygon either through the toolbar at the top of GE or use add>polygon from the dropdown menu. Its a little tricky at first but with practice it gets easy. Maybe start with the easiest task of add placemark to GE first.
